Notes

Opening:

    • The Future of Freedom Requires Transformation…and transformation requires a shift in consciousness.
      • How must that be true?
  • SLIDE: Freedom – having a sense of complete well-being through regulating one’s life according to Truth not story or opinion
        • The possibility of Freedom always exists and it rests on our choice – free will.

Objectives:

  • To surrender and accept what is; To realize the power of paradox
  • To shift from wanting to willing
  • To create that which you desire from the ashes of who you think you are
  • To walk in a consciousness of Truth over circumstances

Keywords/Stories/Points:

    • Focusing on what you “don’t want” cultivates a consciousness of agitation and yields more of what you “don’t want”. Accept what is AND create something new.
      • I do not want to be a welfare mom.
        • Are you a welfare mom? “Yes”
      • I do not want to be in debt from student loans.
        • Are you in debt from student loans? “Yes”
      • I do not want to pay $14,000 a year in property taxes.
        • Are you paying $14,000 a year in property taxes? “Yes”
      • Be free enough to say “I am a welfare mom.” or  “I do have student loan debt.” or “I own a house where the property taxes are $14,000/year.” Now what?! What am I SAYING that means about me.
    • Transformation can only occur through a shift in consciousness.
      • “I just need to make $11,000/month and then life will feel easier.” Now I might say “I just need to make $22,000/month and life will feel easier.” When that cycle is on repeat transformation is not likely…consciousness needs to shift
          • Automobile (belief: there’s not enough)
          • Race in America (belief: there’s not enough)
  • SLIDE: Transformation: a thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance
      • Individual – where am I experiencing a compromised sense of well-being; where am I seduced by story or opinion?
      • Collective – where are we experiencing a compromised sense of well-being; where are we seduced by story or opinion?
        • In order to transform I had to get clear about the “what’s so” of my life WHILE shifting my consciousness to greater understanding of the TRUTH of my life
          • Financial Freedom
          • It’s not spiritual bypass.
    • This can’t be it? It just can’t be it. That nudge is the freedom your soul craves.
      • So if this can’t be it then who must I become to call forward a greater experience of Freedom?
  • SLIDE: To suppose that the Creative Intelligence of the Universe would create man in bondage and leave him bound would be to dishonor the Creative Power which we call God. The Truth points to freedom. We do well to listen to this Inner Voice, for it tells us of a life wonderful in its scope; of a love beyond our fondest dreams; of a freedom which the soul craves. – The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes (p. 26)
    • Subconscious Mind or Conscious Mind – where do you identify?
  • SLIDE: The conscious mind (Universal Intelligence/One Mind) is superior to the subjective and may consciously use it. Great as the subconscious is, its tendency is set in motion by the conscious thought, and in this possibility lies the path to freedom. Karmic Law is a taskmaster to the unwise; a servant to the wise. – The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes (p. 30-31)
        • Have dominion over your awareness and you’ll have dominion over your destiny.
    • Declare your freedom. Take it. Snatch it. Own it. It’s yours. What will you allow to move you?
  • SLIDE: Declare your freedom. Know that no matter what others may say, think or do, you are a success now, and nothing can hinder you from accomplishing your good. All the power of the universe is with you. Feel it, know it, and then act as though it were true. – The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes (p. 302)
  • We are living in a time of hyper reactivity. We are challenged in finding our own center. We are overstimulated and bombarded with opinion. We’ve lost the distinction between Truth and opinion. Look within you and look around you and distinguish the “what’s so” from the Truth.
  • SLIDE: Cleanse your heart of the hopes that you can change, heal, or fix anyone. We can’t change anyone, but in doing the deep investigative work on ourselves WE can change. Life lived from a deep and consistent investigation of our part in a problem can unlock our humanity and reveal solutions that weren’t available to us before. Knowing our part is key to being an impactful accomplice to justice manifesting in the world, and in our own lives. – Chani Nicholas
      • Use the collective experience as a mirror of what lives in you.
        • Racism exists on the planet. I wonder where that lives in me?
        • Poverty exists on the planet. I where that lives in me.
          • RATHER THAN, arguing with the “what’s so.”

Summary:

  • SLIDE: Freedom – having a sense of complete well-being through regulating one’s life according to Truth not story or opinion
