We are in a rich period of expansion and growth at Bodhi. On Sunday, October 11th, we kicked off our 2016 “Get to Give” Drive with an intention of $854,486 committed and 300 people in participation. On Sunday, October 25th, we announced the beginning of a search for our New Home with an anticipated move date of Fall 2016. And on November 1st, we kick off our 12th Anniversary Month with the series, “Reveal Love. Honor All Paths. Celebrate Life.”
A New Series: Celebrating Our 12th Anniversary
As we approach our 12th Anniversary, I find myself grateful for the existence of our Center—it has had a tremendous impact on my life. Over the last ten years, I have transformed every area of my life. Through our Sunday Celebration Services, Classes, Sacred Service & Sacred Circles, I have experienced a quality and caliber of community I never knew possible.

To find a community of people that see and know each other’s wholeness and greatness is extraordinary. Our continued commitment to awakening individuals to live their inherent power and purpose is high and holy work. Just imagine a world of inspired human beings creating from a sense of power and purpose … humanity would be altered. We get to serve that possibility!
Each Sunday in November you will receive an Anniversary gift for being someone that loves and supports our Community. Each gift will be a special symbol and our contribution to your sacred space at home. We hope you plan on being with us in November as we celebrate our 12th Anniversary. We are digging in to our vision of: “Reveal Love. Honor All Paths. Celebrate Life.” As part of Building Our beLOVEd Community, we hope you’ll consider the following events:

- Anniversary Sunday with Brunch Hosted by Bodhi Teens: November 22nd (support our Teen Winter Camp experience!)

As part of our November Anniversary Series, we are providing the opportunity to reflect on Community Membership at Bodhi. After our Sunday Celebration Service on November 1st, November 8th and November 15th, there will be an opportunity to recommit or commit to being a member of our beLOVEd community.

Pick November 1st, 8th or 15th to join us as we share our new online Community Membership Process. We will spend 90 minutes together in interactive reflection and writing to see if Community Membership is a next right fit. Whether you’ve considered yourself a Community Member for years or you’re new to Bodhi, we encourage everyone to check out our new Community Membership Process. It will support you in reflecting and responding to the unique spiritual call that resides in you. We invite you to bring your smart phone, tablet or lap top to one of our Community Membership Sundays at 12 p.m in the Sanctuary.
A New Space
Your support and engagement for Creating a Bigger Pie in 2016 is vital. We are entering into new and exciting territory as we reimagine our next best space. For the last 9 months we have been in conversation and a legal dispute with our landlord to determine our future space usage. Through careful deliberation and consideration, our Core Council has arrived upon a settlement agreement that we believe is equitable and supportive of our future plans. As soon as the settlement agreement is executed in writing, we will share more details.
We are entering into new and exciting territory as we reimagine our next best space.
Until then we ask for your love, prayers and support knowing and affirming that our next right space is revealing itself with grace. If you have a specific skill or talent that you would like to contribute to this process, please consider joining the New Home Committee by emailing your interest and qualifications to office@bodhispiritualcenter.org. Please know that opportunities for Community Engagement will exist whether you are on the New Home Committee or not. More information is forthcoming.
If you have not yet completed your 2016 “Get to Give” Drive Card we ask you to do that now. Your 2016 commitment allows us to continue the extraordinary work we do within our Community and beyond. If you weren’t at Service on Sunday, October 18th, please enjoy listening to the powerful sharing of four Young Adults that recently represented Bodhi at the Centers for Spiritual Living NextGen Retreat.
We realized that a lot of us had similar fears and worries…we had the opportunity to tune into our true selves. It is so important for as many young people as possible to have this opportunity.
As our Young Adults shared, it is our Committed Giving that enables the mundane and the profound to be supported. Whether it’s toilet paper or transformation, Bodhi is funded by us, the Community. Please know that even if you give regularly and even if you give through scheduled giving, your 2016 “Get to Give” Commitment Card is needed.
Thank you again for the many ways you demonstrate your love and support of our beLOVEd Community. We are infinitely and eternally blessed because of the consciousness of our friends and members, near and far.
