New Theme for August: “Your Body. Your Temple.”

Temple means house of God. Your body is the house of God. Your body is your temple. Your body is the house of the living spirit. It is your most sacred space. It is the manifest realm of God. It is the tabernacle of the Almighty. And it is with you everywhere you are. Your physical experience is the way that Life knows of Itself. Without you the self-knowingness of Spirit cannot exist.

Watch: Rev. Lola Introduces “Your Body. Your Temple.”

This month we are exploring the ways we love and adorn our physical body—our body temple. We will explore the ways we mistreat it, the ways we leave it in disrepair, the ways we see our body temple as something to fix and to change. Our intention is to transform our self-loathing, self-sabotaging and self-destructive thought patterns and remember the extraordinary and sacred space that is this body.

Our intention is to transform our self-loathing, self-sabotaging and self-destructive thought patterns and remember the extraordinary and sacred space that is this body.

We will also explore the manifest realm of spirit as our planet and as humanity—the collective body temple. Our intention is to embrace the holiness and wholeness of this planet and it’s people, to honor it for the sacred space that it is. We begin to walk through our lives adorning every person, place and thing as gorgeous and unique features of this beloved and sacred body temple. We choose newly to speak life into the sanctuary of the living spirit. We feast on the affirmative for this is the house of the living God. We begin to know ourselves as the high priests and priestesses of the ground we walk on and the body we live in.

Knowing our body as our temple allows us to experience greater appreciation for that which is within and all around us. Master teacher Jesus invited those around him to not judge by appearances alone for what he knew was that the spiritual nature of Life itself was present in every being he met and in every village he encountered. The world was his temple. God was everywhere he turned. That is our opportunity this month. We can step into the sacred, to put on the Christ Consciousness, Buddha Consciousness, Krishna Consciousness everywhere we go. The time is now for our demonstration of self love and collective compassion.
