Each month, Lola curates a live gathering at an iconic Chicago music venue with the inspiring musicians of the Bodhi House Band and original work from Chicago’s most moving cultural leaders.

This monthly gathering provides an expansive experience for human beings who are committed to awakening their self-expression and deepening their connection to community. House of Bodhi with Lola Wright invites you into a new way of being that will move your body, provoke your mind and awaken your soul. We’re looking forward to creating something beautiful together.

Lola Wright: This house is woven together by artists, activists, musicians and mystics. It is a devotional space of awakening, intended to remind you of your holy nature. Welcome to the House of Bodhi.

Lola Wright: Awakening is for the many, not the few. So this idea of waking up to the part of you that has never been hurt, harmed, or hindered is what we gather in service of. What’s distinct and unique about Bodhi is that we intentionally design it such that it may be made available to the most number of people possible.

House Band: (singing)

Lola Wright: What does this thing called home mean and why do we call this thing the House of Bodhi? You know and metaphysically it is said that house is the body temple. So I just want to keep inviting us into a greater awareness that there really is an aspect of your being that has never been hurt, harmed, or hindered.

Lola Wright: (singing)

Lola Wright: There is this aspect to life that is good and always good. You and I are in this experience to become awake. The word Bodhi means awaken. So the invitation in this dimension of reality is that you and I may awaken to the spirit of life within me is the source of my supply. Our egoic self got scared. We forgot that you are a center of God consciousness in this vast hole. The one in me that presses through the fear is the one that creates a new experience in consciousness. As I create a new experience of consciousness, I become available for others.
